JACK TALTY

“SCENES FROM THE SHIRT STORE”

Jack is in the middle of a gender crisis and they don’t want to talk about it. But they might sing about it. In vivid musical vignettes about community, queerness, and feeling like a big ball of blazing, blinding light, Jack unfolds a personal tale of self-discovery. Join them on a journey through Sydney’s queer spaces as they write a love letter to the clothes we wear, and the families we find. Sunlight, camp, sweat, and song.

BIO –

Jack Talty (they/them) is an artist and performer from Sydney. They are a budding writer, most recently devising and performing a piece of music theatre in development program Stories from the Heart (ATYP, Wear it Purple). They have also played roles including Jake in Be More Chill (North Shore Theatre Company), Mr. McQueen in Urinetown, Jean Valjean in Les Misérables, and Harold Abrahams in Chariots of Fire. Jack is currently in their first year of the Bachelor of Music (Performance) in Music Theatre at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

OLIVIA TAJER

“FAMILY TIES”

Meet Liv….and the Tajer family.

Come with Liv as she explores the up and downs of family life through her growth from child to adult. You’ll meet the whole family along the way from the wacky uncle to the family dog. Learn about love and loss through songs that capture the moments of life, and how a family evolves with change.

BIO -

Olivia is a second year student at the conservatorium studying a Bachelor of Music Theatre. Olivia started performing at three years old when she started dance lessons at her local dance school. Since then, Olivia has been a part in plays, musicals and singing and dance eisteddfods, allowing her to grow her love and passion for musical theatre through these opportunities. She has been in shows such as The Outsiders, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Phantom of the Opera, Catch me if you Can, We Will Rock You, Pirates of Penzance and The Addams Family. Olivia hopes you enjoy Family Ties as much as she loved creating it!
