Growing up as a child in the 60’s and early 70’s was simple – play with your friends, go to school, play with your friends, eat, play with your friends and sleep. Life in my household was rarely complicated, having two older brothers that rarely paid me attention meant that I formed a special bond with my mother. I loved what she loved and Mum loved Dionne Warwick. Together we would sing and usually get the lyrics wrong but the music filled our house and would send my brothers screaming.

“Mum Loves Dionee” is about growing up in a simpler time, how music bonds mother and daughter together and why Mum kept getting Dionne Warwick’s name wrong! 

All to the spectacular tunes sung by Ms Warwick (and perhaps a couple she didn’t).
