One of Australia’s most versatile performers,  marriage celebrant, MC and LGBTQIA+ ally, Marney McQueen has starred on stage (Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Hairspray, Dreamlover), film (The Mule) and television (Neighbours, Home and Away), and around the world on the comedy festival circuit as her hilarious characters, now she's bringing her vivacious comedy cabaret to Claire's!

With her quick wit, impeccable comedic timing and versatile vocals, she is an electrifying entertainer. From the Sydney Opera House to Community Halls and Footy Clubs, to the Royal Hotel Wyong on the NSW Central Coast which she operates with her husband Frank, Marney is set to raise the roof at Claire’s!

Marney McQueen made her musical theatre debut as Marion in the original production of Priscilla Queen of the Desert. She went on to play the evil Velma Von Tussle in David Atkins' production of Hairspray and the equally evil Princess Zena in Moonshadow. More recently she appeared in Dream Lover the musical alongside David Campbell. It is in cabaret however that she has really made her mark, most notably as her alter ego, Rosa Waxoffski, Celebrity Bikini Waxer. Marney is an established voice artist, marriage and funeral celebrant, event host and party starter!

“A force to be reckoned with.”– The Age

There is something in the theatre called a triple threat, performers who can sing, dance and act. If there’s something beyond that, it’s Marney McQueen— The West Australian—
